Classroom Policy

If I will given a chance to implement a policy it would be " KNOWING THE STUDENTS BACKGROUND". This policy will be something like the teacher will take their time to visit maybe in a week end in each of her students house, to make an interview regarding the  students background and also in order for a teacher to give feed back to the parents about the students performance during school days. It will not just a policy but it will also help build a strong and a good relationship between the students and a teacher. Because by this,  teacher will help to improve the students and the teacher may not find a difficulty to met her objectives, and it will also help the students to reach his goal if they know that they are been monitored.

STUDENT-TEACHER- RELATIONSHIP

A very important factor in the process of learning is to have a positive relationship between a student and a teacher. 

I just want to site an example for this , it is a movie which entitled " EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL" its a a very touching story that caught my attention and let my tears drop and realize that every dreams is possible to come true. The story was all about a boy who had Dyslexia, he always get troubles in school because of his misbehaving and out of focus during class hours. This student had a difficulty in understanding their lesson because according to him every time he reads the letters are dancing, so what happen is that he will not continue reading. So? to make the story shorter, A time came that the parents of Ishaan decided to send him to other school for him to learn,but his Art teacher wont let Ishaan to go since he realize that if Ishaan will be send there the more he cannot learn because maybe he will be bullied, his teacher voluntarily teach Ishaan to write and read, the teacher did his really best just to prove everybody that Ishaan has a exceptional talent/ skills that will make his parents proud. To prove this The arts teacher let Ishaan joined the art contest , Ishaan creative style declared as a winner and by that his father is so proud of what Ishaan did even in a simple way.  The Art teacher really did everything because he has been there, he knows what the feeling and thats why his trying his best to teach Ishaan because he know that someday Ishaan will become successful like him who also had the same with Ishaan.

This movie shows that a positive Relationship between a student and a teacher will help each other to achieve their goals. It is very important for a children to be monitored, and give him feed back of his actions because it is one way of creating a good relationship with each other. Another thing is that , as a teacher  we should create an approach that will invite the students to learn.So therefore a communication is very important for both student and teacher, because it will create a good atmosphere between the two because if there's no proper communication then teaching is very difficult.

However, Teachers can be strict, they can be fun and most importantly they touched peoples lives in many ways. As I observed and also based on my experience, I have a favorite teacher because of her strategies and that way she interact through the students. She really make difference, I still remembered her because of the qualities she acquired.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR

 Before , The traditional way of disciplining student is to give them punishment in order for them to learn their mistakes and for them to stop from those ruinous things they did. But today it is already a big no-no since there is already a law for it.  If a teacher gave a punishment to the students who had a unruly behavior then issues will bump everywhere and if that happens teacher may lost their jobs.

As a 21st teacher for us to tame such kind of students, it is our job to know their background why is it they are like that? and to start we should know their family background. Because their are students that are affected because they cannot feel love from their family , or there is not enough attention given to them by their family that is why they will do those disastrous things that may catch the attention of other students and also the teacher. Another thing is that if theirs a vacant time then lets try to interview them or lets give them a time to have " CHIT-CHAT " with us and ask some question that may relate why he became like that, it is one way to assist our students and also one way to help them to become a better one.

 However, we cannot deny the fact that as of today's though there is already an ordinance for it, there's still teachers who did some act that may result them to be fulled-out from teaching. Since we are tag as a teacher we should have this 100% qualities such as being patient, being kind , somewhat like to be called a GOOD TEACHER, because we serve as a second parents to them, we are their models to be followed and lastly we are not just helping them to be knowledgeable or academically rich  but were molding them to become a better one, developing their different aspects of life spiritual, mental, emotional,social, and somehow called  a UNIVERSAL MAN :)

CHEATING

- Act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, esp. in a game or examination.

 In order to minimize cheating As a teacher we must deliver our lesson  clearly to our students, because it is one of the things which may cause students ambiguity to the lesson that may push them to cheat. Another thing is that ask them if they understand the lesson, then ask them some questions to prove that they really understand the lesson. As a teacher don't just simply depend on the books as a reference , you must have other sources so that the learning is not just limited. 

However, We as a teacher we cannot control students behavior. But we can control it in our own little way. Such as, during the exams put all the bags on the front or under the chair, then if possible they should seat one a part, and only paper and pens in the table, then turn off phones. By this things mentioned above we can simply avoid cheating towards our students.  Another thing, if you as a teacher or students report immediately if you found some one who is cheating especially for a teacher, if you caught your students cheating get the paper and don't let him continue the exam so that he will learn from his mistakes and also don't just voice it out that " I saw someone cheating" because they will not learn from that , its either you get their paper or you will talk to him and warned him about the thing he did.

Lastly, Don't give the same exams , because it will  just let the students to cheat. If possible put an honored pledge during the exam so that students will have their conscience they will cheat.

ABSENTEEISM

"The practice of regularly staying away from work or school without good reason".

How does it affect the students learning?

      

  Attendance of a student plays an integral role in the success of the School. It is not only for the success of the school but it helps the learning of the students to be broad.

Being absent without valid reason is just wasting of time, because we all know that learning is one of the most precious thing that we can be proud of, we are not stealing it rather we sacrifice for it by studying and attending to school. But , What happen if we are always absent??? As an experience ,That time when I am absent for almost 3 days because of my allergy which lead me to the hospital  I feel like i am absent for a month, Because of the lesson i missed  and i think I am too behind with the lessons , I cant participate with the discussion because I don't know the lesson, Theirs a  gap already between of my classmates,  and When we have a quiz of that time I got low score which takes me to discouragement, But as soon as I am back I did my best to cope up with the lesson. So? How much more to those students who are fun of having absences without any good reason, I know for a fact that they will missed a lot and by that it will cause them to have failing grade or having a low grade, and I know it is against to the teacher to fail their students but teachers are the one who puts the grade and students are the one who made the grade  see the difference, then if the student will get low grade or failing grade, there will be a tendency that students will now stop going to school and prefer to stay with friends and it will lead the students to have bad future.

How to Deal with them? 

In order to stop students from being absent we should have this policy of 3 consecutive absences then teacher will send a letter to the parents to know the situation of the students. And as a teacher we must think some teaching strategy that  may caught our students attention and may find them interest to attend the class.
